Fiber Optic Cable

Optical Fiber Patch Cord is a short distance fiber optic cable used to connect different devices in a fiber optic communication system, and is usually used to connect between devices and fiber optic cabling links. Optical Fiber Patch Cord is equipped with connector plugs at both ends, which are used to realize the active connection of the optical path, so it is also called fiber optic connector.

Fiber optic patch cords are widely used in fiber optic communication systems, local area networks, fiber optic access networks, data transmission, CATV, test equipment and other fields. Its features include low insertion loss, high return loss, excellent mechanical resistance, good repeatability and replaceability.

Fiber optic patch cords can be classified in various ways, mainly from the following aspects:

(4) MPO / MTP fiber optic patch cords: MPO / MTP fiber optic patch cords are currently one of the common fiber optic patch cords in the high-speed data communication system, such as 40G / 100G direct connection and interconnection.
4. Classified by application environment:
(1) Conventional fiber optic patch cords: suitable for indoor transmission equipment and data center high-density cabling.
2) Reinforced fiber optic patch cords: suitable for harsh outdoor environments, such as underground tunnels and base station construction.
5.Classification by fiber optic core number:
Single-core, dual-core, multi-core (such as 8-core, 12-core, 16-core, 24-core) and so on.
6. Classification by production and processing technology:
Field termination connector fiber optic patch cord and factory termination connector fiber optic patch cord. Factory terminated connector fiber optic patch cord is easy and fast to install, which is very popular among users.
7. Classification by physical structure:
Ribbon fiber optic patch cords and bundled fiber optic patch cords. Ribbon fiber optic patch cords are composed of fiber optic tapes, and bundled fiber optic patch cords use bundled fiber optic cables.
